AAMO by Aayusha Shrestha is Nepal's first conceptual accessories brand that prioritizes understanding, documenting, and preserving the traditional skill sets of metal crafters. We work closely with home-based artisans, who continue to practice traditional skills, which have been passed down generationally.
Each design is structured around the skill set of artisans we work with, our heritage, cultural practices, or personal experiences.
Rapid commercialization has made it increasingly difficult for these small-scale artisans to sustain their livelihood.
Hence, AAMO is working to create an environment that allows traditional practices to be successfully passed down to future generations to see, explore, practice, and realize the endless possibilities of adapting them into our daily life and future.
