The ring was designed as a nostalgic memory of kite flying during Dashain.

Every Dashain, families come together to eat, celebrate, and most definitely spend hours flying kites. 

The main belief in flying kites during Dashain is to let Lord Indra (God of Rain) stop the rain as the rice fields inform Lord Indra that we do not need any more rainfall. 

The shape of the rings is similar to kites, and Udaan means "taking flight" or fly.
