Endless Knot Lapel Pin
Also known as the eternal or infinity knot and 'shrivasta' in Sanskrit, the intertwining of lines represents how all phenomena are conjoined and yoked together as a closed cycle of cause and effect. Thus, the whole composition is a pattern that is closed on in itself with no gaps, leading to a representational form of great simplicity and balanced harmony.
One of the eight symbols in Tibetan Buddhism, it symbolizes the unity between compassion and infinite wisdom, that is without beginning or end.
The symbol also represents 'Samsara', which is the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, a karmic cycle that continues eternally until complete spiritual liberation.
